Why wear compression and magnets after suction lipectomy?

After any kind of suction lipectomy, there is swelling and discoloration. Tight garments reduces both, leaving the body in excellent shape and the healing is so much faster.

The extra foam dressing that I tell patients to wear pushes the fluids out of the suctioned areas, and that is good!

Why?

Left over fluids turn up to be protein tissue and scars, so if it is pushed away you heal faster with less irregularities. I also recommend to patients to wear special magnets under the garment that further decrease the swelling and irregularities and make the patients comfortable.
