VOLUMA® in Boca Raton, FL
VOLUMA® provides a non-surgical cheek lift option that revitalizes and rejuvenates the appearance of the cheeks, and plumps out deep wrinkles and skin folds between the nose and mouth. Daniel Man, M.D., a Florida board-certified plastic surgeon, treats people living in Boca Raton, FL, and the surrounding areas with VOLUMA® to restore a younger, fresher facial appearance.
What is VOLUMA®?
VOLUMA® is a synthesized, safe version of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally-occurring material that the body uses to transport nutrients from the bloodstream to the skin cells. When VOLUMA® is used as an injectable filler, the result is shapely, volumized cheek lines, presenting a more youthful look.
Benefits of VOLUMA®
VOLUMA® restores the effects of aging that result in sagging facial skin and hollowing cheeks.
It also offers the following benefits:
- FDA approved to correct skin imperfections in the mid-face area
- Immediate results that improve with time
- Lasts up to two years
- No downtime
Is VOLUMA® Right for Me?
If you feel as though your cheeks seem to have lost their fullness and look hollowed out, VOLUMA® may be worth consideration. VOLUMA restores volume to the face using hyaluronic acid to create a natural, glowing appearance.
How Does VOLUMA® Work?
VOLUMA® is different from other injectable fillers that contain HA in that it has slightly larger particles than JUVÉDERM®, making it suitable for areas of deeper penetration. When injected around cheekbones where aging has caused looseness of the skin, sagging, or a sharp, bony appearance, the HA encourages the area to retain water. This adds volume and rejuvenates the facial features for a younger, fresher appearance.
How is VOLUMA® Administered?
The administration of VOLUMA® injections requires no anesthetic, although a topical numbing agent may be used if necessary. Most treatments consist of multiple injections around the cheeks that may be accompanied by additional injections between the nose and lips. Patients normally experience only slight swelling, redness, or tenderness, which lasts less than 10 days. Most patients notice a change in their appearance immediately with full effects taking up to six months.
Depending on the amount of facial rejuvenation desired, one to two VOLUMA® treatments are generally needed. VOLUMA® treatments can last up to two years, although some patients may seek a touch up earlier. The result is an appearance that looks five years younger.
How is the Recovery from VOLUMA® Injections?
As with other injectable fillers, there is no recovery from VOLUMA® injections. The process is quick with most patients being in and out of the office within an hour or less. Any mild redness or swelling diminishes within a day. The results are immediate and get better with time.
How Much Does VOLUMA® Cost?
The cost of VOLUMA® injections are different for each patient based on the number of injections needed to correct the skin as well as whether other treatments are performed at the same time. Dr. Man discusses the cost of VOLUMA® or any other treatment during a consultation as well as payment and financing options.
What Do I Do Next?
Prior to being treated with VOLUMA®, we recommend you schedule a consultation with Dr. Man so he can evaluate your skin and determine if VOLUMA® or another injectable filler is best to achieve your goals. It is common to receive the treatments immediately following the consultation if time allows.
