A Guide To Fillers – How many should I get?
A typical patient will be a 40 years old female who has wondered for a while what is the correct answer. Of course, there will be an individual older or younger with more or less aging, lighter or deeper lines, different skin as far damage, weight loss or gain issues.
A patient will note that her nasolabial folds, commonly known as “smile lines” or “laugh lines” are more prominent. Typically, one syringe can solve this problem, however there are chances that you will need one filler to the area below, called Marionette lines. So, if you need the nasolabial folds corrected you may want to correct the other lines as well.
Many times, there would be complaints and dissatisfaction about the smile lines or the Marionette lines but the fact is that the cheek bones are no longer prominent and the fat fell over from the cheeks to the area above the nasolabial folds. Looking carefully one can see that the temples that used to be fuller are now more empty. So, we need more fillers to make the face look harmonious. It would be a good idea to fill these areas without a need to fix it up soon again.
One Syringe may fill one of these areas;
- NL folds
- Marionette lines
- Lips
- Area between the eyebrows
- One of the temples
Two Syringes may fill one of these areas;
- Temples
- Cheeks
- Back of jaw bone
After the age of 40 – 4 fillers work better
After the age of 50 – 5 fillers work better
After the age of 60 – 6 fillers work better
And so on.
