IS JPLASMA A REAL FACELIFT ALTERNATIVE?

A natural looking facelift (NLFL) is a procedure that removes excess skin and tighten up layers underneath and shapes the face and the neck. According to Dr Man NLFL has a great history of being successful and most people have already heard about it or have gone through it. It can be done with other procedures at same time such as eyelids blepharoplasty and fat injections.

JPlasma is relatively a new technology that uses cool ionized helium gas to tighten up the loose skin in two ways:

1) JPlasma as a RESURFACING procedure, used for facial rejuvenation similar to other procedures like lasers, chemical Peels, dermabrasion and various kind of IPL machines. The device is used over the skin , usually in two separate passes allowing tighter skin to form .It may take few weeks to months to look completely healed.

2) JPlasma as a subdermal TIGHTENING procedure is using cold Helium ionized gas and RF to tighten up loose skin from below it.

The device has a small canulla that is inserted under the skin, like the neck or any place of body skin with tiny incisions. It releases the helium gas with the Radio Frequency firming up the skin almost immediately. Suction lipectomy can be done at the same time to reduce fat pockets.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR J PLASMA?

When patients are looking for dramatic improvements yet they want an alternative to neck lift, they may be very good candidates for JPlasma. JPlasma is still considered a surgical procedure, as it is done in the operating room under local or other type of anesthesia with or without oral sedative.

With JPlasma, patients with subdermal tightening notice immediate improvements.

Although it is not as involved as a face lift, there are no no long cuts, it still may take time and patients may still experience some discomfort and pain.

It is true that patients feel an immediate results with subdermal tightening however the skin will feel smoother but it may take time before it has completely healed.

On the other hand, Resurfacing of the skin with JPlasma may call for lengthy recovery time while subdermal tightening recovery is usually brief, few days to couple of weeks.

JPlasma resurfacing is associated with some scabs, crusting and peeling. Redness and itching may be associated until full skin recovery has been obtained.

This may take several weeks to couple of months.
