Announces the 2004 EVIE Award Winners
The Award Promotes Excellence, Values, Integrity and Ethics in Business
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (April 21, 2004) – During a time
when business values and ethics are being scrutinized around the nation,
the Professional & Business Forum will recognize
the Florida professionals and corporations that exemplify the highest
level of excellence and integrity at the Ninth Annual EVIE Awards.
The honorees will be recognized at a luncheon and awards ceremony on
Friday, June 4, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. in The Eunice and
Julian Cohen Pavilion at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing
Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The 2004 EVIE Award recipients are Daniel Man M.D.,
a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Boca Raton , Florida
, for Professional of the Year and Doreen Wade ,
president of Freedom Broadcasting and vice president of WPEC News 12,
for Businessperson of the Year . The recipient for Corporate
Best Practices is Darden Restaurants Inc. in Orlando
and, in a new category for 2004, the recipient for Corporate Best
Practices Not-for-Profit/Government is the Office of the
Clerk of Circuit Court, Palm Beach County .
The goal of the Professional & Business Forum is the advancement
of E xcellence, V alues, I ntegrity
and E thics in the South Florida business community and
the organization honors those who demonstrate a commitment to these goals.
EVIE Award nominated individuals must reside in Florida and nominated
companies must be located in Florida.
“The Professional & Business Forum supports the business members
of our community who help build an ethical environment,” said Heidi Sherman,
founder and president of the Professional & Business Forum. “Our EVIE
Awards recognize those in our community who demonstrate a commitment to
excellence, values, integrity and ethics.”
Registration and networking for the event will be held from 11:15 a.m.
– 12:00 and the EVIE awards ceremony will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
